I hate the condescending tone of the narrator at the beginning. Fuck that 😂. But I appreciate whoever captured this footage nonetheless.

Know one is White or Black except the White Paper and Black ink. Now go out and look at each other with a knew vision there know such people as Light skin or Dark skin, look again with your true eye of the spirit and the Living Creator allows even one to see each other with different shades of Brown, Natures Colors, when you can use the Creators Wisdom you soon see the truth and the Color of White and Black or Black an White are Dead. Brown is the Colors of Nature this puts Us back in the right spotit of the Living Creator. We all grow and live according to Nature not Man, Man will die yet Nature will live a long live in balance with Nature.

Amazing that this video is saved from time and those in this video may have lived free in the lands before white men came into the terroritory and there were Indian wars from late 19th century. The elders in this video lived in the land that only saw the white man for the first time in the 1800's. This video is truly a treasure to see and share for all.

Sand paintings shouldn't be shown to outsiders. It wasnt and shouldent.also you dont look at the painters or the painting, while they make the paintingits like watching your mom getting dress. extremely disrespectfull and this medicine man is most likely greedy or has been threatened or is in despret need of something that the filmers have

Hey everyone please understand that this film is known to be completely staged by Flaherty and the man who plays Nanook (not his real name). It presents a very colonial view of the Inuit peoples and should be viewed with scrutiny. Scenes like when Nanook bites the gramophone record are especially problematic as the Inuit of that time period knew what gramophones were and how they worked, so Flaherty is representing them as "primitive" when they were very aware of modern technologies and used some in their daily lives (like rifles for hunting).
